okay...here it is...about four hours ( remember who you are dealing with here...clumsy fingers is just the start of the issues ) of work with scissors, needle, and thread...from stuff i found around the house...purchased nothing...
used the template and instructions from the times article ( posted link in last blog entry )...one thing is certain...it definitely looks homemade...wearing it in public i will not be mistaken for someone hoarding masks from health care workers...incidentally, the cdc web site still is recommending healthy people not wear masks...there is no consensus in any of this and that cues the panic...there is little in the way of leadership out there...time to be a bit self-reliant, no?
