issues affecting claim

"...partly from the poor that cannot be taken notice of" samuel pepys diary 31 august 1665.__________
over at johns hopkins this morning...
the number of reported deaths in new york has risen...
and over at the times...
they say the numbers may be inaccurate because "many people dying at home are not counted"...and why are they at home? because they have "mild" symptoms? or perhaps because they are among those who cannot afford health insurance and have no access to healthcare..."the poor that cannot be taken notice of"? economics seems to loom large in all of this...
the citizens are suffering economically in a multitude of ways from this shutdown and cash would seem to be running short...
even wealth is nervous...hopeful perhaps..but also the very first in line for some "stimulus" ( seen your $1200 yet? )...the economic disparity here has only been highlighted...
i am solvent...many are not and i know some of them...because pay periods from the alleged job i have been "furloughed" from since the first of the month ( read no pay ) and have been off from since 17 march , run a week behind i have been paid on the past two fridays and that minimal income ( the last payday was $111 gross ) has been seized on by the state as an "issue" that is "affecting" my unemployment claims...okay...we have been down this road before and we will persist...there will be no paycheck this week..we will see what happens in the next sennight...i can wait...i am in sympathy with those facing the same hurdles who cannot...the system is rigged alright...
as to why the death toll in new york city should be so inordinately high compared with metropolitan areas with similar population densities, have a look at this...
transit workers are dying of this virus and impacting the system...mass transit as a disease vector? certainly another line of evidence in support of my important correspondent's contention...i know some smart people...i think i said "epiphany" when this was first brought to my attention...
locally, a quick trip to the "superstore" found shelves well stocked with everything ( including toilet paper ) excluding cleaning products...those two lonely cartons of disinfectant spray will not last long even limited "two to a customer"...this i supposed to be the "peak week" according to some authorities...that i have little confidence in anything anyone has to say about this ( and you should certainly regard this blog as opinion...mostly thinking out loud in public trying to come to some understanding ) is evident..i am inclined to think you shouldn't either..authority and the media both have an agenda.
