"We had no such thing as printed newspapers in those days to spread rumours and reports of things, and to improve them by the invention of men, as I have lived to see practised since."_______________________________it has been a while...mostly because life goes on and this is old news...the media are doing their part to inflate the situation and keep it in front of us...but human cognition wearies and things ( read life ) move on...it should be obvious that this virus is not going anywhere...it is here to stay so adapt...i have been fully vaccinated and then told it is inefective after 120 days and am slated for a "booster" in the next few days...i an skeptical of its efficacy...i will do it anyway...however i refuse to pillory anyone who does not because i find the powers that be are as full of misinformation and contradiction as any social media platform and are actually clueless about where this will be going next...i am not a virologist or an immunologist...or even a doctor for that matter...i have sat though enough lectures on evolutionary biology at a university level and read enough e.o. wilson ( rip ) to know the virus will mutate far faster than any vaccine...we will always be playing catch up...the "new flu" is here ( and i read an article that says a new study maintains the flu shot i got last month won't be effective for any strain this year...imagine that...the disquiet and discertitude go on ) and it hates you...so far three family members have had covid to no lasting effect...one supoposes underlying medical issues were absent...so i wash my hands...i wear a mask...people will continue to be infected...people will continue to recover...people will continue to die...i may be one of either...or, as i have to this point, i may not contract it at all...life's a crap shoot like that...lots of contingency and unseen variables.
